Public Health: Back to the Future Online Lecture – Professor Zafar Iqbal.
On 6th October 2021, through an interview with David Kidney (Executive Chair of WM Health Technologies Cluster and former CEO of reflected on his 30 years of experience in Public Health and share his views of the future of Public Health. Topics covered will included Zafar’s advice for public health trainees, routes to success and good ‘hacks’ for public health practice and major contemporary public health issues.

Dr Zafar Iqbal is currently an Associate Medical Director Public Health of a large Community NHS Trust. Previously he has held Director of Public Health positions for almost decade and held Board level positions in the UK Faculty of Public Health and UK Public Health Register. He also sits on a national expert clinical committee on NHS Health Checks. Currently he is chair of the UK Faculty Public Health Pakistan Group and a member of the Global Health Committee. He is a Visiting Professor at Staffordshire University and has been appointed as a Honorary Professor of two international institutions.
