COVID-19 impact and experiences in children and young people.
On 12th July 2022, CHAD and the Faculty of Public Health hosted the last webinar in this series (note: new series starting Sept-2023 to be announced) that focused on how children and young people were affected by COVID-19.
Sue North, MBE., Head of Quality, Learning Disability & Autism Programme, NHS England & Improvement, gave a fascinating insight into the impact of the pandemic for children with a learning disability and autistic children. Two academics from Staffordshire University’s Centre for Psychological Research, Dr Sarah Rose and Dr Richard Jolley, then presented findings from their work that used children’s drawings to explore the experiences of the pandemic on children aged 4-14 years.
