CHAD Health and Social Inequalities Symposium
Thursday, 9th November, 2017, 12.30pm-5pm.
Venue: LRV, Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent Campus, Leek Road
Dr Richard Harling, Director of Health and Social Care for Staffordshire County Council, will open the event. Richard has statutory responsibilities for public health and adult social services in the County and a keen interest in research.
The symposium aims to showcase translational research from a range of academic disciplines across the University and beyond, that contributes to the science and practice of reducing health and social inequalities and improving health and wellbeing. The presentations will be within the CHAD theme areas of health inclusion, healthy start, healthy living and healthy communities and place.
It will consist of both oral and poster presentations, and provide opportunities to discuss the excellent research happening in our region.
Followed at 6.00 pm by a Guest Lecture: from Duncan Selbie, Chief Executive of Public Health England.
